Singaraja: Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) held its 69th graduation, Friday (25/11/2022). The graduation was followed by 651 graduates from various faculties and postgraduates that consist of Diploma III/D3, bachelor’s degree/S1, Master’s degree/S2, and Doctoral degree/S3. All graduates are always encouraged to show a superior attitude and character.
The graduation for the November 2022 period was held at the Undiksha Auditorium. It was because of the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic. The graduation also had a special impression on the Faculty of Medicine. This youngest faculty at Undiksha also presented 44 graduates for the Bachelor of Medicine.
The Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that as a higher education, Undiksha always strives to produce graduates who are superior, competent, and have character. Students are equipped with knowledge, skills, technology, and life values during their studies. “We hope that with this knowledge, Undiksha graduates will be able to face various challenges in the future, continue to be motivated to improve their quality and be useful and of value to their families and the wider community”
To face the future unpredictable changes and challenges, the graduates were invited to not only have strong competencies according to their field of study. The essential thing is can be a person with a superior spirit and good character. “Superior and character are something that students and alumni should have. Actually, competence will be of less value because we don’t know the changes that will occur in the future. But if you have a superior spirit and good character, we are sure that our alumni will be able to be in a world whose terms are completely uncertain,” he said.
Through this opportunity, Rector Jampel also conveyed several of Undiksha’s achievements in recent years, both in the academic, financial, and student affairs fields. These achievements were inseparable from the graduates’ support. “There are also lot of graduates with achievements. It makes a tremendous contribution to the university. We thank you,” he said.
Until the 69th graduation period, Undiksha had 66,474 graduates consisting of baccalaureate, educator certificates, Diploma I, Diploma II, Diploma III, Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degrees. (hms)
