The FGD was attended by the central head and secretary under the auspices of LPPPM and related staff. On this occasion, there were not only explanations by each head of the center regarding the realization of the program throughout 2022 and its evaluation. But there was also special material delivered by a speaker from the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Province of Bali. This activity was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, Friday (25/11/2022). He, accompanied by LPPPM secretary Dr. I Gusti Lanang Parwata, S.Pd., M. Kes., conveyed that LPPPM is one of Undiksha’s cogs which has two of the most critical tasks and functions. This institution contributes to Undiksha’s development through various strategic programs.
The Freedom to Learn-Independent Campus or Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) paradigm has provided a transformation to the higher education administration so that many activities designed by LPPPM related to MBKM, such as teaching assistants in educational units, internships in industry, and various other activities. Besides that, LPPPM also conducts human resources development and learning recourses center, as well as assurance improvement. “All things that LPPPM has done have an extraordinary contribution to Undiksha development), He said.
In the future, Rasben Dantes hopes that LPPPM can improve work quality and program implementation. He also hopes that LPPPM can design and implement innovative programs, including other efforts to increase accreditation of study programs to Undiksha towards Legal Entity State Universities or Perguruan Tinggi Negeri Berbadan Hukum (PTN-BH). Currently, Undiksha in Public Service Board or Badan Layanan Umum (BLU) status, only 32 percent of study programs are accredited A or superior accredited. Undiksha is also submitting 21 study programs consisting of five clusters for international accreditation. “Hopefully, in the near future the results of the three clusters will come out and hopefully we can get the best results that can add the leading study programs at Undiksha. Next year there will be two more clusters to be visited,” he explained.
But emphasized, to become a PTN-BH, accreditation is not the only requirement. There are also other components such as funding, number of doctors, and number of professors. “For this reason, this is also one of the Rector’s programs when leading this University. Hopefully, in the next few years, we will be ready to go to PTN-BH and we hope that our goal is to deliver Undiksha as a leading and competitive university can be achieved,” Said Rasben Dantes.
