From the student side, they have space to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. While from the village can receive educational things from students. “This Community Service Program for the Tabanan Regency Government is really needed, especially in the context of transferring education. Students who are studying for three to five years of education, it’s time to go directly into the field to put the knowledge gained into practice,” he said.
Furthermore, he said that this Community Service Program is a very good momentum. Students are expected to participate in transforming this vision and mission in education in the field. “Our vision and mission are Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali which is also the vision of the Governor which means to maintain harmony, and balance in this universe both spiritually and abstractly, be it krama (society), culture, nature, and the environment. This is something students should take care of,” he said.
There are five programs from the Tabanan Regency Government, Nangun Sat Kerthi Loka Bali, through a universal development plan. The program consists of clothing and boards, health education, social security for workers, preservation of religion and culture, tourism, and infrastructure. “This program must be carried out towards the AUM (Safe, Excellent and Civilized) New Era of Tabanan, a development concept originating from Ang, Ung, Mang, bhur bwah swah (upstream, middle, downstream) which means integrated development in Tabanan Regency. When safety, excellence, and civility can be achieved, then it must drive these 5 programs and protect the natural environment in Bali’s sat kerti loka. This is my hope, and I leave it to the KKN students,” added Sanjaya.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., in his direction, conveyed that the presence of students in the village was hoped to be able to become agents of change, namely to be able to provide solutions to problems that ensnared the village and society.
