Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Singaraja, Bali released 401 graduates from many different departments in Auditorium Undiksha, Thursday (30/11).
“Our graduates have good potential. I guarantee that. They are employed not only as educators (teachers), but also in other fields such as banking, entrepreneur, and business,” said Rector of Undiksha, I Nyoman Jampel.
It involved graduates from Languages and Arts Faculty, Economic Faculty, Law and Social Sciences Faculty, Science Education Faculty, Mathematic and Natural Sciences Faculty, Sport and Health Faculty, Engineering and Vocation Faculty, and Postgraduate Program.
The third graduation in 2017 involved 43 graduates of magister degree, 350 graduates of bachelor degree, and 8 graduates of association degree.
On this 54th graduation, the highest GPA from each faculty went to Sagung Ratih Saraswati Antari, M.Pd with GPA of 3.79 from Postgraduate Program, Ni Luh Putu Yunita Sari, S.E. with GPA of 3.80 from Economic Faculty, I Kadek Dwi Suadnyana, S.Pd. with GPA of 3.78 from Languages and Arts Faculty, I Gede Bagus Andri Wirawan, A.Md. as the best 4th graduate, Ni Made Lia Cahaya Putri, S.Pd. with GPA of 3.77 from Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty, Putu Eka Yuliartawan, A.Md., from Mathematics and Natural Sciences Faculty as the best 6th graduate, Amir Syarifuddin, S.Pd. with GPA of 3.68 from Education Sciences Faculty, Komang Agus Setia Gunawan, S.Pd. with GPA of 3.63 from Sport and Health Faculty, and Wayan Adi Suparta, S.Pd. with GPA of 3.58 from Engineering and Vocation Faculty.
“This is one of responsibilities of Undiksha to our nation, Indonesia, especially for the qualified of human resources preparation with competitiveness,” he added.
Rector of Undiksha, I Nyoman Jampel, also stated that the most important thing in this graduation was Undiksha as the foremost one in preparing and casting qualified human resources for the biggest target of Golden Indonesian 2045.
Ganesha University of Education as an academic organization is aimed at preparing teachers. Teacher Training Institute (Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Keguruan; LPTK) is the key to achieve the education goal for a better generation.
“Teachers will educate the next generation. Hence, teacher is the key to improve the human resources of our next generation. This is the real role of Undiksha as LPTK in qualified teacher recruitment,” he said.
In work field, Jampel guaranteed Undiksha’s qualified graduates as they were relevant and applicative nowadays adjusting with National Qualification Framework of Indonesia (Kerangka Kualifikasi nasional Indonesia; KKNI). Besides that, he has prepared enough infrastructures in education process as by time the qualification quality of educators was increased.
“We push our lecturers to improve their education degree. We target them into 50% of doctoral-degree lecturers and 30% of professors,” he said while Undiksha has been working on that target.
