Singaraja- The writing of indexed journal papers, especially by lecturers, continues to be encouraged by Ganesha Education University (Undiksha). Supporting this, through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), a two-day workshop was held, namely 31 January-1 February 2019. The event which took place at the Undiksha Postgraduate Auditorium presented speaker Prof. Dr.-Ing Eko Supriyanto MIEEE from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Dr. Wahyudi Sutopo, S.T., M.Si from Sebelas Maret University and Assistant Prof. Dr. Saravana Kumar Jaganathan from UTM.
Chairman of LPPM Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Waisnawa, M.Si conveyed that this activity was a medium for providing information to lecturers in writing quality journal papers. Through this, a number of strategies emerged from sources who have different scientific disciplines. “This is an effort to increase the publication of papers in indexed journals. “By July, it is hoped that 30 articles will be published,” he said.
He further stated that increasing the number of publications is not only important for lecturers. But it also has an impact on increasing the university’s grades, both at the national and international levels. “This is also important to show the quality of the institution,” he said. According to this lecturer at the Faculty of Economics, similar activities will be carried out on an ongoing basis. It is hoped that there will continue to be support from the entire academic community, especially lecturers.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the Committee, Dr. I Nengah Suarmanayasa, S.E., M.Si., said that this activity was a collaboration between Undiksha through LPPM and UTM. The participants were lecturers with doctoral qualifications representing each faculty. “There are now 30 participants. “We hope that the information obtained can also be conveyed to others,” he added.
