The five-subject competition was again held by the Department of Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD) at Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) at the campus auditorium, on Tuesday (6/11/2018). This competition, which is in its 14th year, was attended by 123 teams from a number of elementary schools in Bali.
Chairman of the Committee, I Gede Wahyu Suwela Antara, explained that the team had to take part in the preliminary round which took place in Jembrana, Klungkung, Buleleng, and Denpasar City Regencies. “This is the first time that the selection process uses a regional system. There were 12 teams entering the semi-finals. “They will fight to get to the final,” he explained. He said that this competition is not only to hone students’ abilities but also to foster a competitive attitude and produce superior human resources in facing global competition. “This is to foster a competitive spirit and increase intellectuality among elementary school children,” he said.
