Singaraja- The Faculty of Sports and Health (FOK) of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) is believed to be the location for the physical tests for Papua Beach Volleyball Athletes. This activity took place at the Ganesha Sports Center Campus FOK Jinengdalem, Buleleng, Sunday (29/11/2020).
FOK Deputy Dean II, I Wayan Artanayasa explained this test was to find out the physical condition of the athletes who will compete at the 2021 National Sports Week in Papua. “Incidentally, this athlete was TC from August in Bali. So the coaching team said they would carry out a physical test,” he said with permission from the Dean of FOK, I Ketut Budaya Astra.
This academic from Kintamani, Bangli Regency further stated that according to initial observations, the average physical condition of the athletes was in a good category. However, it will conduct further analysis. The results will be conveyed to the coach. He also gave his appreciation for choosing FOK Undiksha as the test site. It is hoped that this collaboration will continue, including for athletes from other sports. “We hope that later all provinces in Eastern Indonesia can work with us to carry out physical tests. We have often carried out physical tests for various types of sports,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Head Coach of Papua Beach Volleyball, Nyoman Sudiantarayana explained that eleven athletes took part in this test. This step is to find out the development of his physical condition after taking the previous test. “We want to see how our child’s physical condition is. Incidentally, TC is in Bali, so we communicate with Undiksha to do a physical test,” he concluded. The implementation of this test received a positive response from athletes. The facilities owned by FOK Undiksha are considered complete and in good condition. It is hoped that this can continue to be improved. (hms)
