Singaraja – The Midwifery Bachelor Study Program and Midwifery Profession Education at Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) underwent their first field assessment (AL) for accreditation on Monday, December 16, 2024. This evaluation was conducted by assessors from the Institute for Self-Accreditation of Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) and marks a significant milestone for these newly established study programs.
The opening ceremony of the assessment was attended by Undiksha leadership and led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI. In his remarks, Prof. Dantes highlighted the rapid development of the Midwifery Programs and emphasized their alignment with the Tri Dharma Education, focusing on quality education, research, and community service. He also stressed Undiksha’s commitment to ensuring adequate facilities and infrastructure to support effective learning processes.
Expressing his optimism, Prof. Dantes stated, “We hope this assessment provides constructive feedback and results that align with our expectations. May these programs continue to develop positively and uphold high standards of quality.”
Dr. Meti Widiya Lestari, S.ST., M.Keb., one of the assessors, explained that the field assessment aimed to verify and clarify the accreditation documents previously submitted by the study programs. The assessment, scheduled to conclude on December 19, includes a comprehensive evaluation of: resource capacity, alumni and students performance, partnership and collaborations, availability of facilities and infrastructure in the study program.
Dr. Meti also praised the strong sense of collaboration and hospitality demonstrated by Undiksha staff during the assessment process. She specifically noted the unique warm welcome of “Salam Harmoni”, which she deemed a meaningful and commendable tradition worth emulating.
