Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a Qualified Opinion (WTP) for the 2019 financial reports from the Supreme Audit Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK-RI). It is the fourth year in a row that this opinion has been won. This was revealed during the submission of the audit report and financial reports from the Undiksha Internal Supervisory Unit (SPI) to the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources (PAK-SDM), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., as the Finance Director of the Public Service Agency and subsequently submitted to the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., Wednesday (21/10/2020).
At the event which took place in the Rectorate’s Ganesha III Room, the Head of SPI, Dr. I Putu Gede Diatmika, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., appreciated Undiksha’s financial management which in general has been going well. However, it is hoped that there will continue to be efforts to improve and improve quality. It is more focused on administration and reporting. As stated in the form of validation of expenditure up to date, collection of receivables that need to be optimized, arrangement and recording of inventory, asset status, equity, research and community service financial reports, management of business units, and business trips that are not double founding.
Meanwhile, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Lasmawan stated that the WTP achievement did not mean that there were no problems in financial management. “This predicate is that our financial management is without anything unnatural. But that’s normal. Fair what is meant in this context is reasonable with what is planned and accountability in accordance with what must be done. So that’s all there is to it,” he said.
This academician who is also the Chairman of the Deputy Rector II Forum of PTNs throughout Indonesia emphasized that he would follow up on the input submitted by the Chair of the SPI. Anticipating problems, Undiksha is now developing an online system that is able to accommodate activities from upstream to downstream related to financial management. “So everything is based online, so there are no problems. Not occur double endorsement. Now our financial governance desktop is being worked on so that later it can accommodate various existing systems and their compatibility with the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education and Culture systems,” he explained.
On this occasion, it was also conveyed that to improve the quality of financial governance, the support of all faculties is needed. It is also hoped that the input received from the auditor team can be followed up immediately. “In terms of financial management, Undiksha has on track. This is expected to be maintained and improved, “he said.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Jampel reminded that financial governance must be strictly according to regulations. His party also emphasized that the use of the online system in the financial and planning sector continues to be improved as an effort to realize accountability and transparency. Likewise in developing other systems that can boost Undiksha’s performance. “I hope with this achievement, we don’t have to stop,” he said.
On this occasion, it was also stated that Undiksha’s success in winning WTP and other achievements could not be separated from togetherness. It is hoped that this will continue to be maintained so that Undiksha can become even superior. “This achievement is not only due to the chancellor’s work. But because of all of us. This is what needs to be understood. There is not even the smallest component that does not play a role in driving the system. We have to maintain togetherness,” he concluded. (hms)
