Singaraja- Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, MP gave material to Candidates for Civil Servants (CPNS) lecturers at the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) who took part in Basic Training (Latsar) at the Jinengdalem Campus, Buleleng Regency, Saturday (15/2/2020). This central official asked the young lecturers to innovate, to be able to create an independent campus and independent learning. “This CPNS must make various changes and innovations. I also ask that civil servant civil servants must understand Pancasila and be polite, courteous, and polite,” she said.
She explained that the implementation of an independent campus and independent learning must have the support of all parties in tertiary institutions. The CPNS must make moves from the start, such as reorienting the curriculum and perfecting individual competencies into general competencies, such as communication, collaboration, information technology, and big data. “This needs to be done. As a lecturer, we must be able to collaborate with district, provincial, and central governments for development,” she said.
As academics, CPNS must also be able to implement the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in the form of education and teaching, research, and community service. In addition, educators must be able to produce skilled graduates so they can compete in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. “For Higher Education’s Tri Dharma, it is mandatory that must be implemented. How research results increase and benefit society. Journal publications are the same way,” said the graduate of the doctoral program at Brawijaya University. On that occasion, she also asked all Civil Servant Candidates to understand the laws relating to Civil Servants and the rules according to the profession. “By understanding the law, we will be able to work well,” she concluded.
