Singaraja- The Faculty of Economics, Ganesha University of Education (FE-Undiksha) is holding an International Conference on Tourism, Economics, Accounting, Management and Social Science (TEAMS), on 3 and 4 November 2020. This virtual conference carries the theme “Economic Development and Innovation: Maintaining Business Sustainability During the Covid-19 Outbreak”. The speakers presented were Dr. Jean Marc Dautrey from Stamford International University, Thailand, Dr. Anantawikrama Tungga Atmaja, S.E., M.Sc., from Undiksha and Assoc Prof. Dr. Pek Chuen Khee from UCSI University, Malaysia and UCSI Poll Research Center.
The Chair of the Committee, Putu Gede Parma, S.St.Par., M.Par., explained that holding this fifth virtual conference was inseparable from the situation that was still enveloped in the Covid-19 pandemic. “Even in situations like this, this activity can still be carried out. We hope it doesn’t reduce the meaning,” he said. Delivered further, at this conference, it is targeted that 50 articles will be submitted. However, this amount can be exceeded. “There were 89 articles entered. However, 85 articles were accepted. This will be published in indexed and reputable proceedings,” he said.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation Affairs, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., appreciated the holding of this conference. “Even in a pandemic situation, we can still organize activities like this. Of course, this is a very positive thing,” he said. This conference provides knowledge about economics. According to him, this is very important, especially for the younger generation as supporters of becoming competitive Human Resources (HR). “This conference brings academics, experts, and researchers to discuss (themes) economics, management, accounting, and social science. And hopefully, generate ideas to improve the economy in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic,” he explained. (hms)
