Singaraja- Several Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Unfiksha) students joined the fast-track program at Ming Chi University of Technology (MCUT), Taiwan. Through this program, the students obtained bachelor’s and master’s degrees within five years.
Students in this program consist science, technology and business and accounting fields. Two batches will depart for Taiwan. First, six students continue the fast track program for the second year with full scholarships from MCUT. They will continue to take the master’s program. The undergraduate program was completed at Undiksha in three years.
Before departure, the student met with Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, Thursday (15/9/2022). On that occasion, Rasben Dantes expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm and motivation of the students to join the international program. He also conveyed a message from the rector that students can maintain Undiksha’s trust in MCUT. “So the Rector does not want this program to stop here, but it must continue for younger students,” he said.
Another message is that students can show the best performance, both in academics and attitude. “So that they can believe that Undiksha students are superior students who fulfil their classes so that they can also compete with the international community,” he continued. Meanwhile, for batch 2, eight Undiksha students will go to MCUT. It is hoped that all the processes can run smoothly.
Student Kadek Sri Andriani admitted that her motivation to participate in this program was to explore international development, which would later increase her competitiveness. Student Putu Andika Eka Putra also conveyed the same thing. His biggest motivation to join this fast-track program is to strengthen his future and get a better career later. He also admitted that his participation in this program received full support from his family. “My family is very happy,” he said.
The participation of Undiksha students in international programs is expected to increase, both for fast-track programs and other programs. (hms)
