Singaraja – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Ganesha university of Education (Undiksha) joined the nationwide celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) with a series of meaningful and engaging activities. These events aimed to strengthen solidarity, enhance skills, and foster togetherness among its members.
The celebration commenced with a social service activity on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Jara Mara Pati, Buleleng. DWP Undiksha extended care and affection to the elderly residents by distributing gift packages as a token of gratitude and support.
On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the celebration continued with a cooking competition themed “Preparing a Healthy and Practical Family Breakfast with Fresh Fish.” Participants showcased their culinary creativity, transforming fresh fish into delicious, nutritious, and easy-to-prepare dishes. The presence of Undiksha’s Rector and other university leaders further motivated the participants, making the event even more exciting.
Recognizing the importance of self-care and grooming, DWP Undiksha also organized a makeup and hairstyling workshop titled “Traditional and Modern Balinese Makeup and Hairdo.” Conducted by LKP Agung Bali, the workshop provided practical tips and techniques to enhance one’s appearance. Enthusiastic participants practiced elegant yet simple hairstyling techniques, fostering confidence and refinement in their daily presentations.
The grand celebration took place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, featuring a lively cheerleading competition and interactive games. Despite the fun and sporty atmosphere, the event maintained a formal touch with the traditional cake-cutting and tumpeng ceremony.
DWP Undiksha Chairperson, Ny. Dewa Ayu Muter Suastini Lasmawan, highlighted the organization’s vital role in empowering women to contribute to their families, institutions, and the nation.
