Singaraja- The performance achievements of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) until semester III of the 2020 fiscal year showed a positive trend. This received appreciation from the Supervisory Board (Denwas) in an evaluation meeting, Thursday (1/10/2020). The meeting which took place at the Puri Saron Hotel, Buleleng included presentations on performance achievements by the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources (PAK-SDM), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan. It was stated that Undiksha’s revenue achievements until the third quarter of 2020 reached around IDR 95 billion. This figure exceeded the target of IDR 77 billion. “This exceeded the target of what we planned,” he said.
This achievement, he continued, was inseparable from the support of the Supervisory Board as well as the good performance and management behavior of all leaders, both at the rectorate, institution, faculty, and bureau levels. “This is work, teamwork extraordinary,” he said.
Regarding performance in the service aspect, such as the percentage of graduates who went straight to work, the number of students who are self-employed, as well as excellent accredited study programs, it was stated that they had also exceeded the target. However, Undiksha continues to strive to make improvements. “Of course, this still requires support from the leadership and related sections,” he said.
Apart from this, the performance achievements that Undiksha continues to encourage include Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), as well as prototype industrial products and innovation. “For HaKI, we have only reached 87 of the target of 110. We believe this target will be achieved because now there is a process,” explained Lasmawan.
At the meeting, Lasmawan also mentioned the Freedom Campus and Freedom to Learn policies that were rolled out by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Undiksha as one of the Teaching Personnel Education Institutions (LPTK) in Indonesia is committed to implementing. In fact, this policy has been supported by curriculum restructuring.
Chairman of the Undiksha Denwas, Moch. Wiwin Darwina assessed that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, Undiksha’s performance was going well, as were its achievements. However, his party still hopes that all Undiksha staff will work harder to answer a number of homework, such as increasing the number of superior accredited study programs and the number of professors. “I think improving the quality of human resources is very important,” he said.
The same thing was conveyed by a member of the Denwas, Tri Budhianto. He considered Undiksha’s performance as a Public Service Agency (BLU) to be very good. It is hoped that this can be maintained and improved. “For undiksha, I have been observing for a long time. From a performance point of view, it’s been very good. We have to take care of this so that it continues to run well,” he said after the meeting.
In addition, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, there have been changes in regulations relating to financial management. It is hoped that this will also be understood by Undiksha. “In the midst of this pandemic, we must be able to be creative, innovate in managing our finances. Do not interfere with the progress of the implementation of activities or other performances. Undiksha needs to remap the programs being implemented, there must be a priority scale, so there are no obstacles,” concluded the man who is also the Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury of the Province of Bali.
