Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education received Scholarship Community Development assistance from PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Singaraja branch of IDR 75 million. The assistance that was distributed to 15 students was symbolically accepted by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. accompanied by the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., Friday (27/11/2020). The handover was carried out directly by the BRI Singaraja Branch Manager, Yogie Harris Nainggolan, in the Undiksha Chancellor’s office.
The Chancellor of Jampel expressed his appreciation for BRI’s concern for the Singaraja branch in supporting the continuation of student education through scholarship assistance which would certainly be very helpful during the Covid-19 Pandemic. “A concern from BRI for Undiksha students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, especially those experiencing economic difficulties. So, this assistance will certainly help our students to be more enthusiastic about continuing their education. In addition, through this scholarship, it can provide cost relief for parents,” he said.
This official who was born in 1959 hopes that scholarship recipients can further develop their potential and spur their achievements. “I hope that students who receive this assistance must show themselves to develop their own potential so that they can become human beings who have competitiveness, who are superior and of course must be passionate about making Indonesia a better one,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of the BRI Singaraja Branch, Yogie Harris Nainggolan, revealed that this assistance was a form of BRI’s concern for the education sector. Acceptance is carried out through selection based on the achievement and economic background of prospective recipients. From that, it was stated that 15 students passed as recipients, consisting of 10 students receiving general category scholarships and 5 students receiving 3T category scholarships (Front, Remote and Disadvantaged). “This is the BRI Cares program that we distribute to the education sector. This scholarship has three categories, namely the General category, 3T, and Disabled, “he said.
It is hoped that this assistance will be truly beneficial for recipients in the interest of improving the quality of human resources at Undiksha. (hms)
