Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to strive to develop the Faculty of Medicine (FK) so that it can become a faculty that is competitive and produces excellent graduates. One of these efforts is carried out by building synergies with the Republic of Indonesia Health BPJS. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., through an audience with the Main Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prof. dr. Ali Ghufron Mukti, M.Sc, Ph.D., Monday (19/6/2023).
Chancellor Prof. Lasmawan who was accompanied by the Rector for the 2015-2019 and 2019-2023 periods, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd said efforts to improve quality for FK as a relatively young faculty are not only carried out through strengthening Human Resources (HR) or a quality assurance system. Apart from that, education and teaching facilities have also been improved. “We are continuing to improve our lecture facilities so that the educational process at FK is getting better,” he said.
Delivered further, currently, Undiksha Faculty of Medicine is in need of a Teaching Hospital in line with its development. Realizing this is expected to build collaboration with the Republic of Indonesia’s Health BPJS. “We really want to have an independent Teaching Hospital. This is what we are trying to convey to BPJS Kesehatan RI,” he explained.
Further Prof.Lasmawan said that the Main Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prof. Ali Ghufron really appreciated Undiksha’s rapid development, especially the Medical Study Program. Through this audience, it is also hoped that sustainable synergy will be built between BPJS Health and Undiksha in order to improve health services to the community. “We received information that funds for synergy already exist. But it still requires an in-depth study of the legal framework so as not to cause problems in the future. In this regard, we are ready to wait and coordinate further to realize the intended collaboration,” he concluded. (hms)
