Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) has carried the vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. Apart from that, it is also planning internationalization in 2019. Supporting this, collaboration with universities abroad continues to be expanded. Not only in the field of education but also in research and exchange of teaching staff. One of the ways this was done was Central Luzon State University, Philippines. The signing of the collaboration took place at Edutel Undiksha, Jalan Jatayu, Singaraja, on Friday (23/11/2018).
Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Si., who was present at the event, said that so far Undiksha has collaborated with a number of universities in ASEAN. But more specifically in the field of education and teaching. “In this case, we hope for student exchanges, both PKL and PPL, including transfer credits. “We hope that students can have broader insight, at least in Asia,” he said.
Collaboration in the field of research and exchange of teaching staff, he continued, is a newly initiated program. It is hoped that this can run smoothly and be able to improve the quality of the university. “We just came up with this collaboration,” he said. This is supported by improved facilities and infrastructure. No less important is also to increase lecturers’ understanding of foreign languages. “We continue to make improvements. “In terms of infrastructure, it is also of international standard,” said the academic from Gianyar, adding that it was also planned that future collaboration could be expanded to the Asian level.
