Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) again distributed basic food assistance, Monday (23/11/2020). This assistance is aimed at students from outside Bali who are still surviving in Singaraja City in the midst of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
There are 226 students who receive assistance from semesters one to seven and are considered active students. Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., who handed over the aid symbolically at the Undiksha Auditorium said that the distribution of aid in collaboration with the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Undiksha Student Republic was the third stage. This cannot be separated from the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic which has an impact on the economy of students and their families. “This is a form of Undiksha’s concern with BEM for students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said.
Undiksha BEM-REMA President, Made Vera Yanti said the distribution of this assistance began with data collection. “We refer to students who are still in Singataja, but from outside Bali,” he said. The assistance is expected to ease the economic burden on students and their families. “Hopefully this assistance will benefit colleagues,” she said.
One recipient, Indriana Refita Devi, responded positively to Undiksha’s concern for students. This assistance is considered able to ease the economic burden. “It’s very positive,” she said. She also said that she was staying in Singaraja in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic because there were still lecture practicums.
Apart from basic necessities, the Undiksha Academy community also distributed assistance related to preventing the spread of Covid-19 to the community, village government, and local government through an activity entitled Undiksha sharing. This activity is also a form of implementing Tri Hita Karana in terms of maintaining good relations between people. (hms)
