Singaraja- The distribution of basic food assistance to residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out by KPRI Kuwera, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), Thursday (14/5/2020). This assistance is an effort to ease the economic burden in the midst of a difficult situation.
Chairman of KPRI Kuwera, Dr. Made Pageh, M.Hum explained that the assistance was distributed to the Pramubakti Cleaning Service and Security Guard, which reached one hundred people. This sharing movement is also a series of the 73rd anniversary of the cooperative. “This activity is an effort to ease the burden on the people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Hopefully, this assistance is useful,” he said.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd after handing over the aid symbolically appreciated this sharing movement. This was considered a form of alertness and responsiveness to directions from the Buleleng Dekopinda. This movement is expected to continue to be inherited and improved. “I don’t see the price of this basic food. But we need to inherit or improve this movement, how during the Covid-19 pandemic we must always be able to share. In my mind, in this pandemic we have to take care of ourselves and have to take care of others,” he said. Delivered further, this program is also a form of implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which forms the framework for all activities at Undiksha, including realizing the university’s vision of becoming a superior university in Asia in 2045.
Plt. Head of Dekopinda Buleleng, Nengah Tenaya explained this activity was one of a series of Cooperative Anniversary amid the Covid-19 pandemic, apart from joint prayer activities and environmental cleaning. “This activity is a series of cooperative days and in 2020 it will not be able to be carried out like the previous year. So we from Dekopinda are trying to carry out this cooperative day celebration with just a few agendas,” he explained. In distributing this assistance, his party provided support in the form of stimulus. It is hoped that this movement will provide benefits to the community. “I invite cooperatives in Buleleng to carry out let’s share activities,” he added. (hms)
