Singaraja- The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on society, especially those with a lower-middle-class economy. The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Education of Ganesha (FMIPA-Undiksha) pays attention to this. Efforts to ease the burden on the community were carried out through the provision of basic food assistance, Friday (24/4/2020).
The social action was directly led by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Sc., accompanied by staff. Assistance was handed over to dozens of FMIPA students, both from Bali and outside Bali. In addition, it is also distributed to staff at the faculty. This begins with data collection so that the aid that is distributed is right on target.
Apart from internal faculties, aid was also distributed to three orphanages, namely the Narayana Seva Orphanage in Kerobokan, the Dana Punia Orphanage in Banyuning, and the Ananda Seva Dharma Orphanage in Sangsit Village. Assistance whose funds come from the helping hands of the FMIPA family is expected to ease the burden on the community. Apart from basic necessities, FMIPA also produces hand sanitizers which are used to meet needs at universities and donated to local governments in an effort to prevent Covid-19.(hms)
