Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education encourages all faculties to continuously improve academic quality and the quality of institutional governance. This was followed up by the Faculty of Medicine by compiling relevant programs and budget allocations, including for 2023. The discussion took place, Wednesday (26/1/2022).
During the activity which took place in the Seminar Room of the Integrated Health Laboratory, the Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd. He is the one who represents the chancellor as well as providing direction and confirmation regarding programs designed for 2023. He conveyed that the Faculty of Medicine must program re-accreditation preparations. The programs made refer to strengthening and achieving Key Performance Indicators (IKU). “Don’t walk out of it. What programs support IKU There are eight KPIs that must be realized,” he said.
He further stated that the Medical Education Study Program has been accredited B. Thus, the number of student admissions in the 2022/2023 academic year can be increased. In line with this, the need for teaching staff needs to be a concern of the FK leadership. “Now with the issuance of B accreditation, we have legally become Medical Education Study Program. We can accept a hundred students. With the number of workers like now, if it is lacking, it can be added,” he said.
Lasmawan also emphasized that in order to improve the academic quality of the faculty, it is very necessary to strengthen Human Resources (HR). He encouraged lecturers who did not yet have doctoral education qualifications (S3) to immediately continue their studies. “For those who don’t have publications, yes publications. This FK must be led and supported by people with big hearts, “he said. Regarding student activities, the Deputy Chancellor who is also the Chairperson of the PTN Vice Chancellor II Forum throughout Indonesia asked that what be implemented could provide benefits to the faculty and have an impact on improving academic quality. “Participate in an outstanding competition. Do research through groups,” he continued.
It was also revealed that Undiksha, which has a vision of “Becoming a superior university based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045”, places FK as one of the pilot projects and development priorities. It is hoped that this can be understood by the ranks of the faculty and education staff. Therefore, in carrying out the program must always be based on harmony. Meanwhile, with regard to financial management, they are asked to prioritize accountability, its use refers to the KPI, which is effective and efficient.
On that occasion, Lasmawan also expressed his gratitude to the Regional Government of Buleleng Regency which has committed to support the development of the Faculty of Medicine. This activity presented the Head of Undiksha’s Internal Oversight Unit (SPI), I Wayan Krisna Eka Putra, S.Pd., M.Eng. He specifically delivered material on the financial management cycle consisting of planning, budgeting, implementation, reporting, and supervision. It was explained that the stages of preparing the budget work plan carried out must refer to the leadership policies that have been determined in the Rakorbang activities, as well as the amount of the budget adjusted to the agreed ceiling allocation. In addition to carrying out the process of preparing a budget work plan for 2023, the Faculty is also required to pay attention to programs that will be realized in 2022 which are already contained in the 2022 DIPA. organization.
From the reporting side, he stressed that attention should be paid to the completeness of accountability for expenditures made. The entire process should be monitored by the Commitment Making Officer the person in charge of financial management at the Faculty level. “While in terms of supervision, SPI is always ready to become a partner for consultation so that it can minimize the occurrence of irregularities in financial management,” he said.
The Head of the Committee, Ketut Espana Giri, S.ST., M.Kes., said that this activity was carried out for two days and was expected to realize strengthening planning performance and budget optimization as well as accountable governance to make FK more advanced and glorious. “Our hope is that the Faculty of Medicine will get stronger,” he said.
