Singaraja-The Faculty of Sports and Health, Ganesha University of Education (FOK-Undiksha) compiled the program and budget allocation for 2023, Friday (4/2/2022). This program is designed to strengthen academic quality in order to support the achievement of Undiksha’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and Undiksha’s target of becoming an International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL).
The Dean of FOK, I Ketut Budaya Astra, S.Pd., M.Or., said that his faculty is committed to supporting the rector’s policy directions and participating in efforts to accelerate the realization of Undiksha’s vision of “Becoming an Excellent University Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045”. Therefore, programs are designed to be relevant. Likewise, the budget allocation must be right on target. “Of course, our program is directed to answer what is the Chancellor’s policy and Undiksha’s vision,” he explained. Delivered further, another thing that is of concern to him is the increase in the student body for all study programs by maximizing promotions. “The faculty has also formed a promotion team,” he explained.
This activity presented Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., as a guest speaker. On this occasion, he conveyed that in an effort to realize Undiksha as IRUEL, in accordance with the rector’s policy direction, in 2023 there are three strategic policy pillars that must be carried out together from the rectorate level to the departments with lecturers in them, namely good governance, good budgeting, and good achievements. “Relying on the three pillars of the policy, all programs and budget allocations in every faculty, institution, graduate school, unit, and other strategic supporting elements must be derivatives and real translations of the three,” he said. In addition, the budget is also directed at strengthening learning facilities and infrastructure, HR qualifications and professionalism, clustering, IRUEL acceleration, and PTN BH acceleration.
The increase in the number of student bodies was also emphasized by Lasmawan. According to him, faculty promotions must be carried out together, including the support of alumni. “The role of alumni is very important to increase faculty competitiveness,” he concluded. (hms)
