Singaraja– The academic community of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a commemoration ceremony for Pancasila Sanctity Day, Tuesday (1/10/2019). The annual momentum is expected to be used as a medium to strengthen unity in the success of development.
The ceremony which took place in the ceremonial field of Undiksha’s central campus was attended by the leadership from the faculty to university and student levels, the atmosphere was very solemn. Vice Rector I, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T.,M.TI, who is the supervisor of the ceremony, hopes that on this Pancasila sanctity day, all layers of society, including the academic community, can unite in the midst of a number of actions aimed at undermining the sense of unity. “We hope that layers of society, the academic community, unite, declare us as one nation,” he said.
He also said, Indonesia is a rich country. Not only with natural resources but also in terms of culture, language, and ethnicity. Such things must be maintained and able to become a color of life wrapped in harmony. “This difference is what makes Indonesia rich,” he explained.
As an academic person, the former Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocationalism invited the entire academic community to also think academically and rationally in seeing every problem that occurs in society. As a university, Undiksha is also committed to maintaining unity. This is in line with the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, one of which is establishing good relations with others. This philosophy is also the basis for realizing Undiksha’s vision as a superior university in Asia in 2045. “We must be able to think critically,” he added. (hms)
