Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a ceremony to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila, Thursday (1/6/2023). Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., invited the academic community to use this momentum as a milestone for self-reflection on their obligations as citizens.
The ceremony, which was attended by the leadership, lecturers, staff, and students, was solemn. Another interesting thing, this ceremony was sweetened with the use of Indonesian clothing. The diversity that is present shows the richness of Indonesian culture and creates harmony. Harmony is something Undiksha is aggressively campaigning for, especially in the midst of the academic community.
On this occasion, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Lasmawan conveyed that as a citizen of the nation, as a citizen, it is appropriate to understand the essence of Pancasila. The birth of the ideology of Pancasila stems from the exploration of the nation’s founders by referring to the greatness of the archipelago’s cultural values which were formulated and established as the ideology of the Indonesian state. Therefore, as citizens, they must know and understand and really implement the basic universal values of Pancasila, namely divinity, humanity, diversity, democracy, and social justice in practical life. “For the Undiksha community, let’s interpret the momentum of Pancasila Birthday as a milestone for self-reflection about what, how, and what we should do as servants of the state, as citizens of the nation, citizens of the world in the midst of an era of disruption,” he invited.
He believes in the modality of harmony just message, which is objective, which is what it is, Pancasila values can be implemented properly and will be able to color the beauty of this nation’s painting towards a golden era. (hms)
