Singaraja– The academic community of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), Monday (11/11/2019) held a flag ceremony to commemorate Heroes’ Day. Through this annual momentum, it is hoped that more and more heroes of today will emerge, who are able to innovate to make the nation stronger, stronger and uphold national ideology. Deputy Chancellor II Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd conveyed this after becoming the ceremonial supervisor.
What was emphasized was in line with the expectations of the President of the Republic of Indonesia conveyed through the Minister of Social Affairs. This must be interpreted in depth. Today’s heroes must also be able to ward off Sara’s issues that can destabilize the nation’s ideology, Bhineka Tunggal Ika. He mentioned the toughest challenge, including the Indonesian nation, when separatist movements emerged, in the name of a sect, race, ethnicity, and religion. “When this happens, the spirit of Bhineka Tunggal Ika will collapse,” he said.
For this reason, it is hoped that the entire Undiksha academic community will continue to develop their own qualities, both students, staff, and lecturers so that they are able to fulfill this independence as expected by national figures. “Finally, being a hero is not something difficult, but what is difficult is how to think and act like a hero,” he concluded.
