Singaraja– Lecturer in Law, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) invites the younger generation to be against sexual violence. This was campaigned through the Community Service Program (PkM) in collaboration with the Buleleng District Attorney’s Office (Kejari) at SMAN 1 Sawan on May 15, 2023.
The PkM program is overseen by a lecturer, Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H. She said efforts to prevent sexual violence really need to be encouraged. Likewise with increasing legal understanding and awareness in the younger generation regarding the snares of pornographic behavior and sexual violence among adolescents/students. “With that in mind, we invite students to increase their understanding of the legal snares of pornography and sexual violence perpetrators, strengthen character education and increase students’ legal awareness, and prevent and overcome the occurrence of pornography and sexual violence among adolescents. We hope that the participants from OSIS can be the spearhead in conveying and disseminating information to other students,” she said.
Through this service program, cadres of anti-sexual violence were also formed who were equipped with knowledge from the law academy and the prosecutor’s office. Students are also invited to be careful in using social media. “Because if used improperly, it will have a negative impact on oneself and others,” warned Rai Yuliartini.
This dedication presented speakers from the Buleleng District Attorney’s Office, Made Heri Permana Putra, SH., MH. He conveyed material about legal awareness which was explained as a form of one’s awareness to be able to compare actions that are permissible and not permissible. With this, one can determine and comply with existing laws. “Legal awareness is needed by every community, from childhood to adulthood.
