Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to innovate in information technology-based services. One of them is related to the use of electronic certificates. Consolidating this, through the Information and Communication Technology UPT (ICT) a collaboration was established with the Electronic Certification Center (BSrE) – the National Cyber Crypto Agency (BSSN) in Depok, West Java. The signing took place on Tuesday (11/26/2019).
The signing was carried out by the Head of UPT ICT Undiksha, I Ketut Resika Arthana, S.T., M.Kom, and the Head of BSrE, Rinaldy, S.Sos., M.T.I. On the sidelines, Resika Arthana explained that electronic certificates function to improve the security of electronic information which includes authentication, integrity, non-denial, and confidentiality. The use of this certificate is in accordance with the mandate of UU ITE no 19 of 2016 and PP PSTE of 2012.
After signing the collaboration, officials within Undiksha will be given an electronic certificate to digitally sign documents, so that the process can be done efficiently, quickly, safely, and from anywhere. The first stage of using electronic certificates at Undiksha is the Shakuntala system (assignment letter module). “The next stage will be applied to the entire Undiksha system to improve services for both the Undiksha community and the community,” he explained. This academic from Seririt District, Buleleng said that apart from Undiksha, the University of Indonesia also collaborated with other ministries and local governments. “We hope that through this collaboration, the quality of service at Undiksha can get better,” he concluded.
