Singaraja- The Week of the 29th Anniversary of the University of Education of Ganesha closed with the Ganesha Synfest event, Wednesday (19/1/2022). At this moment, the academic community was invited to continue to work enthusiastically to create an increasingly competitive Undiksha.
The closing was attended by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by Vice Chancellor II, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., and Vice Rector III, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. Also present were Bureau Heads, Deans, Postgraduate Directors, Deputy Deans, and Heads of Departments.
At the end of this event, the Chancellor, I Nyoman Jampel expressed his appreciation for the implementation of the Dies Natalis week which had run smoothly and continued to prioritize harmony. This shows that the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana has been well implemented by the academic community. “We at the leadership give our appreciation to the committee, to the entire academic community for supporting the implementation of the anniversary so that it runs smoothly,” he said.
Delivered further, in 2021, various proud achievements have been achieved by Undiksha. As in the Student Rating Management System (SIMKATMAWA), Undiksha is ranked 13th nationally, up 10 levels from the previous year which was ranked 23rd. Likewise, student achievements, which were achieved at the national and international levels in various fields, be it arts, sports, information technology, or innovation. It was emphasized that increasing achievements was Undiksha’s target, including in 2022 and beyond. Therefore, the academic community is invited to continue working, awakening potential, in order to realize a superior Undiksha for Resilient Indonesia, as the theme of the 29th anniversary. “In order to make Undiksha better, it is not only enough for Undiksha leadership. But it must also be supported by the entire academic community, including students, “he said.
What is no less important to reiterate is maintaining togetherness and harmony. “We must continue to maintain and improve the togetherness and harmony so that together we can make Undiksha better and more competitive,” he said.
Meanwhile, specifically the Ganesha Synfest event is not only limited to a closing event which includes art performances by students, staff, and lecturers. More than that, it is also to awaken the potential and creativity of students in each faculty.
On this anniversary, various competitions were held, namely in the scientific, sports, arts and culture fields, and so on. This competition was not only enlivened by students but also by lecturers and staff.
The results of the competition brought the Faculty of Economics as the first winner as well as the overall winner, followed by the Faculty of Education as the second winner, and the Faculty of Languages and Arts as the third winner. (hms)
