Chancellor Prof. Lasmawan said the neutrality of lecturers and staff is a must in political contestation. This is also an affirmation from the government contained in the instructions of the Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan-RB). “Both lecturers, staff, and student activities, don’t touch each other because that’s an instruction from the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform to maintain neutrality. We can do this together for our good,” he said.
The neutrality in question is that lecturers and staff are not members and/or administrators of political parties. In addition, it is also impartial from any form of influence and does not favor the interests of anyone.
