Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a replacement for the Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). The new official entrusted to Dr. Drs. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes. He replaces Prof. Dr. I Gede Astra Wesnawa, M.Sc., whose term of office ended due to age restrictions.
The inauguration was carried out by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, Tuesday (19/4/2022. The event was witnessed by the Bureau Head, Dean, and Postgraduate Director. On this occasion, the Chancellor of Jampel expressed his highest appreciation to Astra Wesnawa for his commitment and dedication to the development of Undiksha. Many innovations and breakthroughs have been made in building an academic climate through the dharma of research and community service. Astra Wesnawa and all of its staff have delivered LPPM Undiksha from the middle cluster to the main cluster, and continue to increase the quantity and quality of research outputs and PkM to gain recognition both by the international and national community. “This is reflected in the achievements of the Main Performance Indicators achieved by Undiksha. In 2021, based on the results of the IKU 2020 achievement evaluation, we managed to place Undiksha in 7th place out of 33 PTN BLU, and received an award for excellence in IKU 5, which is related to research outcomes and PkM,” he said.
In this very important moment, the Chancellor of Jampel also stated that Undiksha had high hopes for the new head of LPPM to build a better university. He emphasized that LPPM is one of the cogs of the university. This institution is expected to be able to initiate the birth of research groups that reflect Undiksha’s excellence, can produce quality and innovative research, and can improve the quality of research outputs and PkM. “This is one of the indicators that can increase university competitiveness. I also have high hopes for synergy between LPPM, LPPPM, Faculties, and Postgraduates in enriching academic activities, such as conducting research sharing, book Review, joint research and publication, and other activities that can strengthen academic relations among the academic community,” he said.
The Chancellor from Nusa Dua, Badung Regency invites us to always work in togetherness and harmony. This is at the same time a form of implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which is the basis for realizing Undiksha’s vision to become a superior university in Asia in 2045.
Meanwhile, I Ketut Sudiana expressed his commitment to translating the programs outlined by the Rector as well as those contained in the university’s short, medium, and long-term plans. In addition, it also continues the previous program. “Why do I continue, because the achievements for LPPM Undiksha are extraordinary when viewed from good outcomes in the form of journal publications, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and various forms of recognition,” he concluded.
