Singaraja- The Department of Law and Citizenship at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) commemorates its 2nd Anniversary (HUT). At a young age, this department continues to promote quality improvement, so as to be able to “give birth” to graduates who are professional, competitive, and highly competitive.
During the opening of the anniversary celebration, known as the Civic Law Celebration, Monday (23/11/2020), Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., said that his party continues to take strategic steps to improve the quality of the departments related to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research and community service. A number of programs have been initiated, such as expanding cooperation with other universities and government agencies. “We are trying to create a better academic climate,” he said.
Regarding improving the quality of graduates, in the learning process, students are not only faced with theory but are also emphasized in practice. In this case, the department does not only involve permanent educators but also holds practitioners in accordance with their fields. “We want graduates to be more competitive. Of course, we are taking strategic steps,” he said.
Specifically related to the anniversary of the department, this academic from Panji Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng hopes that this can become a medium to strengthen the kinship of the academic community. In addition, this event is also a medium for reflection on the course of majors. “We certainly hope that the department will get better and have more quality,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the Committee, Ketut Ade Candra Guna Pratama explained that with this anniversary series carrying the theme “Youth Movement Against Pandemic” academic and non-academic competitions were held, including national essay competitions, national posters, poetry creation, speeches, e-sport competitions, and the election of the 2020 Civic Law Boys and Girls. Zumba exercises are carried out while still implementing the Covid-19 prevention protocol. He also emphasized that the opening ceremony was carried out semi-online. (rls)
