Singaraja– Dharma Wanita Perempuan (DWP) Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) also celebrated the 24th anniversary of DWP, on Thursday (7/12/2023). This celebration also serves as momentum to campaign for the Campus Friends DWP program.
The anniversary celebration which took place at the Undiksha Auditorium was attended by Undiksha leadership, Undiksha DWP administrators and members, and representatives of Student Organizations. The event was filled with arts and cultural performances presented directly by members of DPW Undiksha.
Chairperson of DWP Undiksha Mrs. Dewa Ayu Muter Suastini Lasmawan said that the formation of the DWP Undiksha organization was more than just a space for communication between members. More than that, it is also to strengthen togetherness and harmony. It was further stated that the DWP Undiksha organization is also committed to moving to make changes through various positive activities to be able to develop the potential of each member and have an impact on the academic community and society. In line with the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation Number 30 of 2021 concerning the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in the Campus Environment, DWP Undiksha initiated the DWP Friends of the Campus program. This program offers assistance as well as motherhood for student victims of sexual violence. This commitment is also demonstrated by the collaboration between DWP Undiksha together with the PPKS Undiksha Task Force and BEM-REMA Undiksha to jointly socialize the program.
Undiksha Chancellor Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd invited DWP Undiksha to come forward and design and carry out activities that could truly demonstrate the quality and existence of DWP Undiksha.
He also requested that in the future all wives of Civil Servants in the Undiksha environment be obliged to participate as members of the DWP so that they can be aware of various activities on campus. “Kmai hopes that the existence of this organization will be able to support the performance of husbands to be better in the future,” he said.
Welcoming DWP’s anniversary, DWP Undiksha held various activities, such as plastic face workshops, makidung competitions, choir competitions, and social service by providing basic food assistance to cleaning service in the Undiksha neighborhood. This activity is also a form of implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy. (hms)
