Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) became one of the universities visited by BUMN Goes to Campus, organized by the Ministry of BUMN on Thursday (9/2/2023). This event is a space to campaign for the transformation of BUMN in the era of the Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir.
The event was opened by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. He, who represented the Rector, appreciated the selection of Undiksha as the first state university to be visited by BUMN. According to him, the presence of BUMN on campus is a spark of enthusiasm for the academic community to continue to strive to show the best quality. In addition, it manifests the spirit of the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy.
Through this event, he hopes that in the future, there will be opportunities that students can follow, one of which is an internship program and certified independent study to support the realization of superior and competitive university graduates. “This really touches the Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka program. Because we really need partners, need a place to study. Because 2 semesters have to study off campus. Therefore, we are really grateful for this program and can Undiksha be chosen as the place to carry out this activity, “he said.
The Minister of BUMN, Erick Thohir, through his Special Staff, Arya M. Sinulingga, said that the purpose of BUMN Goes to Campus is to provide an understanding of the transformation of the Ministry of BUMN which has led to increased BUMN achievements and inspired the younger generation. He explained that there are five strategies of the Ministry of BUMN to encourage BUMN companies to become world-class. One of them is talent development. This strategy opens up wide opportunities for millennials to work and have a career in BUMN. “The Minister asked us to introduce BUMN. Usually you know from the news. Here we present several BUMN,” he said.
Arya added that young people hold 5 percent of top positions in BUMN companies. The Ministry of BUMN targets that by 2023, the number of young leaders will increase to 10 percent. Likewise, female leaders are expected to grow to 25 percent.
At the seminar titled “Reach Your Dream,” speakers who are young leaders of BUMN companies, namely Coordinator of the Indonesian Human Capital Forum, Rini; VP of Business Development MDI Ventures, Alvin Evander; and General Manager of Angkasa Pura 1 I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport – Bali, Handy Heryudhitiawan were presented.
Also present at the event were PT Angkasa Pura 1’s Director of Finance & Risk Management, Yudi Rizkyardie Darun; PELNI Denpasar Branch Manager, Ardiansyah; Airport Administration Senior Manager, I Ketut Putra Gusnantha; StakeHolder Relationship Manager, Taufan Yudistira; Human Capital Manager, Votya andra, and other BUMN leaders. In addition, the Head of Undiksha’s AKPK Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd., and the Deans and Vice Deans at Undiksha. (hms)
