Denpasar – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), as an informative public agency, remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting open public information. This commitment was further demonstrated through an exploratory collaboration with the Bali Provincial Information Commission (KI Bali), conducted on Friday, January 31, 2025, during an official visit to the Bali Provincial Information Commissioner Office in Denpasar. The meeting was attended by the Head of PPID Unduksha, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes., and was warmly received by the Head of Bali Provincial Information Commission, I Made Agus Wirajaya, S.Kom., along with other commissioners.
The discussion highlighted the importance of public information transparency in realizing good governance and serving as an implementation of the Public Information Disclosure Law. As a public university, Undiksha has undertaken various initiatives to ensure information disclosure, including improving information and documentation management in accordance with prevailing regulations, strengthening the capacity of its management resources, and enhancing infrastructure to optimize public services. These efforts, supported by guidance from the Information Commission, enabled Undiksha to achieve the Informative Public Agency qualification in 2023 and 2024.
Prof. Sudiana emphasized Undiksha’s commitment to maintaining this qualification through continuous innovation in information services, which are currently being developed and are expected to be implemented soon. Additionally, Undiksha expressed its hope to establish further collaboration with the Bali Provincial Information Commission in efforts to monitor and evaluate public information services.
During the meeting, Prof. Sudiana who also serves as the Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, expressed Undiksha’s readiness to participate in various activities with the Bali Provincial Information Commission, including the development of information disclosure in rural areas through the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program, as well as managing data centers and ensuring the security of public information data through the Academic Support Unit for Information and Communication Technology at Undiksha.
Meanwhile, Agus Wirajaya welcomed Undiksha’s initiative, saying, “We have actually envisioned this collaboration for some time. We greatly appreciate Undiksha’s initiative and are ready to support it through a formal collaboration agreement.” He also affirmed the commission’s readiness to be involved in various activities conducted by Undiksha related to public information disclosure.
Additionally, Agus Wirajaya extended his congratulations to Undiksha for achieving the Informative Public Agency qualification. “We hope Undiksha continues to maintain and enhance this qualification, serving as an inspiration to other public bodies in fostering information transparency,” he added.
This collaboration is expected to foster strong synergy between Undiksha and the Bali Provincial Information Commision in enhancing public information disclosure, while also improving the quality of governance to be more transparent and accountable.
