Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received a visit from the Teaching and Education Faculty (FKIP) of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Monday (3/7/2023). This visit was in the context of benchmarking the management of academic administration and student affairs.
This visit was received by the Head of Undiksha’s Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Drs. I Made Yasa, M.Pd accompanied by the Study Program Coordinator, laboratory assistants, and related functional officials within Undiksha. The delegation of FKIP Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta was led directly by the Dean, Drs. Tarsisius Sarkim, M.Ed.,Ph.D.
This meeting took place very warmly. The two universities share information about the management of academic administration and student affairs. Apart from that, it is also about preparing for international accreditation, implementing Field Experience Practices (PPL) for students, and implementing the Teacher Professional Education program (PPG).
The Head of Undiksha’s Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, I Made Yasa, expressed his appreciation for this visit. He conveyed that Undiksha, which is currently developing, also wants to gather information about university management from other universities, including Yogyakarta Sanata Dharma University. “Through this meeting, we also want to learn,” he said.
Undiksha and Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta have collaborated in the development of the education sector. Through this meeting, it is hoped that this will continue and be strengthened through various programs. “Hopefully in the future collaboration in the implementation of the Tri Dharma field we can continue to carry it out together and it can get even better,” he added.
The Dean of FKIP Sanata Dharma Yogyakarta, Tarsisius Sarkim said that this benchmarking is one of the programs in the context of developing Human Resources (HR), especially education staff. It is hoped that his presence at Undiksha will obtain information that can later be adopted to improve the quality of his faculty governance.
He mentioned that currently, he had built a concrete collaboration with Undiksha in developing MIPA education in collaboration with the Korean Government. This collaboration is expected to continue to grow, including in the implementation of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) policy. “For MBKM we also carry out. Hopefully, in the future, this can also be collaborated, especially in student exchanges,” he hoped. (hms)
