Singaraja, (Antara Bali) – Student Executive Organization (BEM) Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Singaraja, Bali, clarified the video “aspirations” of support for Pancasila that had viral in social media. “We want to clarify the accusations of many parties that we are spreading the video to point out to certain tribes, nations, races and religions (SARA) .The facts is that the video is purely our aspiration for the wholeness of four pillars of the nation namely Pancasila, 1945 Constitution, NKRI and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, “Said The President of BEM Undiksha, I Made Dicky Satya Narayana, at Rektorat Undiksha on Friday. According to him, the background of making a video in relation to respond to the number of understandings is radically related to the recent view of the societies in our country. “The ideologies we intend are the ideologies which want to change the views toward Pancasila, the Constitution 1945,NKRI, and Bhineka Tunggal Ika,” he said. in addition, it is in line to what is in the text of the President’s speech, Joko Widodo, on June 1st, 2017. There is an intolerance that carries an ideology other than Pancasila. Satya Narayana also revealed, the background of using religion in the video is to invite all parties, especially those who often use religion to spread hatred. “There is no intention to intervene that religion teaches radical understanding,” he added. “Our intention is to make people aware that there is no religion that teaches bad and anti Pancasila in the life of a country,” he said. Meanwhile, the words that are considered out of the intellectual as a student purely because of growled over the understanding and radical attitude occured. “As young generations who become the spearhead of the nation, we want to maintain the four pillars of the state and we are in the first line to prevent the spread of radical understanding,” he explained. In addition, His side also apologize if what is spread on the video causes the offense and inconvenience of the parties. “We apologize profusely if there is a feeling of confusion, but indeed we speak for what it is, the video is purely made as a means of our aspirations as a student,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector II Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan MPd assessed that the video which his students shared in BEM is purely aspirations in order to maintain the integrity of the four pillars of the nation and no other things lead to the attitude of cornering certain parties or religions.
The video seemed to be a “controversy” after re-editing by parties who seem to aggravate the atmosphere. “There are three videos which are viral, one original version and two other videos added with words as if cornering a religion,” he explained.
According to him, in the future, university will increase supervision and communication with the students so that similar problems do not happen again.
“We also apologize if there are parties who are offended by the video of our students, Undiksha remains as the front line to maintain tolerance and diversity in Bali and Indonesia in general,” he explained. (Bgs)
