Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students succeeded in making achievements in the 2019 Indonesian MPR-RI Constitutional Debate Competition at the Higher Education Level in Bali Province Regional Selection which was held 26-27 April 2019. Namely, Lukas Norman Kbarek, Sella Marsellena Mercury, and Kadek Teguh Werdi. Students from the Legal Studies Study Program, Department of Law and Citizenship, won second place.
Lukas Kbarek said that in the competition which took place at the H Sovereign Hotel, Denpasar, his team had to compete for positions with teams from Udayana, Mahendradatta, and Mahasaraswati Universities. The topics being debated are related to the Indonesian constitution, such as the implementation of regional autonomy, a closed proportional system in elections, and the abolition of the Parliamentary Threshold. “The Undiksha team managed to get second place,” he said.
Following the competition, there was previously an administrative selection carried out by the center. Even though they have not succeeded in reaching the top position, the students who have achieved achievements in a number of competitions still feel grateful. Self-quality improvement continues. “We continue to strive to produce better achievements. “You can qualify for the national level,” he added. (hms)
