Singaraja- Inauguration of the professor of the Chancellor of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha), Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd. received appreciation from the Director of Technology-Based Startup Companies (PPBT), Ir. Retno Sumekar, M.Sc., Wednesday (17/10/2019). It is hoped that the largest public university in North Bali will have more and more professors. “For the achievement of the highest academic position, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, this is not only a blessing for himself but also for Undiksha. This is due to the increase in the number of professors at Undiksha which this year has added 2 professors. Hopefully, there will be more,” she said.
Apart from that, he also reviewed the statement of the Chancellor of Jampel, who preferred to be an academic leader rather than a management leader. However, both of these things have been successfully achieved. “Pak Jampel never dreamed of becoming a rector. Never imagined would be a professor. But he only wants to do what is best for this nation. He wants to make the best contribution to the university, “she explained.
She emphasized that being a professor does not only have an impact on individual lecturers but also provides added value to the university and its environment. “As Chancellor of Undiksha in a small town in the north of Bali Island, even though it is in a small town, Undiksha has aspirations to become a superior university based on Tri Hita Karana in Asia in 2045,” she said.
During his tenure as Chancellor, Jampel is considered to have done many things to build Undiksha, with the concept of togetherness being applied. “He created a conducive academic environment. Besides that, Pak Jampel always stretches his arms wide to collaborate and work together for the progress of Undiksha in its efforts to become a superior university,” said Sumekar. In the future, the chancellor’s task, he added, will be even more difficult. It is hoped that under the control of the Chancellor from Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Undiksha can be more competitive at the national and international levels. “We hope that Undiksha will get better,” she concluded.
