Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) has made a move to anticipate an independent campus and free learning policy issued by the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. This received appreciation from the Director of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dr. Ir. Paristiyanti Nurwardani, MP., giving socialization, Saturday (15/2/2020). “I really believe Undiksha can be an inspiration for other universities,” she said.
This belief is inseparable from the efforts of the largest state university in North Bali which has designed student learning programs outside the study program since 2019 which are also contained in the curriculum. “This is one form to support realizing an independent campus and independent learning,” she explained.
Anticipating this policy, universities also need to collaborate massively, such as collaboration with universities ranked 100th in the world. The Ministry of Education and Culture will facilitate this, including for Undiksha. “In the near future, we will collaborate with universities ranked 100 in the world. We will facilitate universities,” she said.
Campaigning for an independent campus and free learning program, the Ministry of Education and Culture also cooperates with Undiksha to target the Eastern Indonesia region, in collaboration with LLDIKTI. In line with this movement, his party will also design programs that involve lecturers and students to improve the learning process specifically in the fields of science, technology, mathematics, and English. “This movement is very important for the current era,” said Paris.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said he was committed to supporting an independent campus policy and independent learning. As evidence, his party has conducted focus group discussions specifically to formulate policies to be implemented. “We have taken steps to anticipate this policy. Same as a journal publication. Before the policy was issued, we had started a year earlier,” he said. (hms)
