Singaraja- Chancellor of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd appointed six officials at Undiksha, Tuesday (27/6/2023). The officials are invited to always instill the concept of just message or seriousness in working.
The appointed officials consisted of the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation who was again entrusted to Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, who previously served in the 2019-2023 period; Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Finance, and General Affairs, Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd who previously served as Deputy Dean in the same field at the Faculty of Sports and Health; and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes, who previously served as Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM). In addition, the Postgraduate Director was also appointed, which was entrusted to Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd, who previously served as Chancellor of Undiksha for the 2015-2019 and 2019-2023 periods; Chairman of the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development, Prof. Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd who previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies; as well as the Chairperson of LPPM, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, M.Si, who previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA). The official inauguration was witnessed by other leadership and functional officials within Undiksha.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Lasmawan admitted that the determination of this office was a difficult thing for him because Undiksha has many great and intelligent people. On the other hand, there are limitations to positions. He considered that the officials who were appointed had track partners who were quite mature in their respective fields. This is one of the reasons for appointing him as a companion in carrying out the wheels of university governance going forward.
In his direction, he conveyed that Undiksha as one of the tertiary institutions which are growing towards maturity in terms of performance achievements, of course, must be able to take a significant role in the noble task as outlined by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, namely affirming the existence and productivity in producing competent and competitive human resources in the era of disruption. Undiksha’s progress as an educational institution has been able to carve many achievements and innovations. This achievement continues to have strived to increase through the implementation of strategic programs. This is expected to be a serious concern for the new officials.
Chancellor Prof. Lasmawan also asked that at work always build communication in equality while still prioritizing growing togetherness values. Because through building good communication, it is believed that all problems will be overlooked in the spaces of sincerity, honesty, and commitment to dedication to Undiksha as a second home. More than that it also works with just message which is imposed as a match between speech and performance. “Never plant problem trees, let alone create problems, because all of that will make it difficult for all of us,” he said.
Through this opportunity also expressed appreciation to Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd, who previously served as Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, and Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ngurah Putu Suharta, M.Sc, who previously served as Postgraduate Director. Both are considered to have contributed to the increase in Undiksha’s achievements.
Before the inauguration which was marked by taking the oath and signing the text of the oath of office, the six officials carried out a majaya-jaya ceremony at Parhyangan Undiksha. (hms)
