Singaraja- Eight Deans at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) were appointed by the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd, Friday (28/7/2023). The deans are invited to perform optimally which is entirely based on the concept of just message.
The inauguration was carried out for the Dean of the Faculty of Education who was held by Prof. Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Drs. I Gede Nurjaya, M.Pd, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies, Dr. Kadek Rihendra Dantes, S.T., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Dr. I Wayan Sukra Warpala, S.Pd., M.Sc, Dean of the Faculty of Sports and Health, Dr. I Ketut Yoda, S.Pd., M.Or., Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Dr. I Gede Adi Yuniarta, S.E., Ak., M.Sc., and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M. Ahmad Djojosugito, dr. Sp.OT (K), MHA, MBA.
Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Lasmawan emphasized that the process of mapping, selecting, determining, and appointing structural officials was based on the spirit and breath of the new Undiksha statute, as referred to in the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture Number: 30 of 2023. Admittedly, the process of selecting the Dean was something that was not easy and quite mind draining considering that Undiksha has many great and intelligent people. However, he as Chancellor must still make choices and make the best decisions.
Delivered further, in its journey, Undiksha has succeeded in making various achievements and innovations. However, this is considered insufficient when compared to the speed and tightness of campus competition in the era of global disruption, which sometimes does not tolerate stopping for a moment, to take a breath and set the pace. In addition, the legacy of achievements in academics, student affairs, financial management, and other achievements that have been achieved by previous Undiksha leaders is also considered a challenge in itself so that these performance achievements and achievements can be increased.
Another challenge in the world of higher education today is in preparing human resources to be capable and skilled in carrying out the relatively small constellation of industrial revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0.unpredictable. On this matter, the Chancellor from Bonyoh Village, Kintamani District, Bangli asked the new Deans to perform optimally based on the concept just message. “Because through the management building, just message“All aspects and institutional components will move in tune with the parameters of reality,” he said.
He believes the Deans are able to make faculties and universities better through a series of endless innovations and restoration of structured management in their respective faculties. On this occasion, he also invited them to improve and perform based on clear benchmarks and in accordance with the measurable directions and pillars of the ministry’s policies.
“Undiksha as a second home for all of us, of course, must be proactive and able to take massive innovative steps in realizing and realizing priority programs of the ministry and national development, especially in the field of education,” he said.
Another thing that was emphasized by the Chancellor Prof. Lasmawan said the Deans need to always build communication inequality while still prioritizing growing values of togetherness and harmony. “I believe, with growing togetherness and the framework of harmony that we have ratified together, all of this can happen for Undiksha, the house we love and live in together,” he concluded.
Through this opportunity, thanks and appreciation were also conveyed for the performance of the previous deans. All of them are considered to have delegated a series of achievements and innovations in developing Undiksha. (hms)
