Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) cooperates with the Buleleng State Attorney in legal assistance. This was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd with Kajari Buleleng, Wahyudi, S.H., M.H., Wednesday (6/11/2019).
Chancellor Prof. Jampel explained that as an educational institution, Undiksha does not only focus on implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education and Teaching, Research and Development, and Community Service. But also running programs related to law, such as physical development. Anticipating irregularities, legal assistance from the prosecutor’s office is considered very appropriate. “For example, if anything happens, we can ask the prosecutor’s office for help. We can ask for help from the court, to the police. Especially for the prosecutor’s office, according to the Minister of Finance in the framework of TP4D,” he explained.
Delivered further, the involvement of the attorney general can start from program planning to monitoring the procurement of goods and so on. This cannot be separated from the process which is very complicated and needs to be careful. “Therefore, our role with the Attorney General is extraordinary. With regard to procurement issues that are so complicated, we must act carefully. So there is no problem, the Attorney is observing. This is what we do, as well as to support Udiksha as a clean integrity serving zone,” he said.
The Kajari, Wahyudi stated that he was ready to cooperate with Undiksha in the field of law concerning civil and state administration. If a legal problem occurs at a university that already has a Faculty of Medicine, the Attorney General’s Office can act as a state attorney to take steps, from non-liquidation to litigation. “Our status as state attorneys. The Attorney General’s Office is very ready to cooperate with Undiksha,” he said. (hms)
