Singaraja- Students of the Japanese Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Arts, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) who have successfully joined the program to Japan continue. This time, Ni Nyoman Putri Noviyanthi and Ni Luh Eka Gitasari. The two of them had the opportunity to take part in a student exchange at Ohkagakuen University, Japan for six months. Before leaving on September 11, 2019, the two of them met the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., in his office, on Monday (9/9/2019).
At the brief meeting, Putri Novayanthi said that her participation in the program had been her wish for a long time. According to him, it is a way to add insight, especially in the field of education applied in Japan, which is very different from Indonesia. “This wish has been around for a long time. Education in Japan is good. I want to know more about it,” she said.
This is not the first time for this student from Sudaji Village, Buleleng Regency, to set foot in the land of the rising sun. Previously she also had the opportunity to take part in an internship program at the Marriot Hotel Okinawa for six months. “In the past, I was there looking for work experience. For now, looking for learning experiences, “she said.
Participation in the program received full support from his family. This is indicated by the ability to support financing. “Highly supported. This is to add experience,” added the student who is also a Bidikmisi recipient. Meanwhile, Eka Gitasari said the selection process to join the program was relatively short. She just filled out the form. “There are very few who register. Unlike the internship program. Maybe because of different goals, “she said. In this program, she does not only focus on academic activities. But there is also an introduction to Indonesian culture, especially Bali. “We also have to master English. Because it is an introduction to lectures, “she added.
The Chancellor of Jampel appreciates the participation of students in the program because it will be able to provide international insight, specifically regarding education and culture. “We are very proud that there are students who can take part in programs abroad. This is important as a provision when you have graduated. It can increase competitiveness,” he said.
As a university, Undiksha is also keen on campaigning for Tri Hita Karana in the community. It is hoped that this philosophy that encourages good relations with God, with others, and with the environment can be introduced in Japan. “This philosophy is also the basis for realizing Undiksha’s vision as a superior university in Asia in 2045. This creates harmony. So students should also be introduced to it,” he concluded. Previously, four students from the same study program also took part in an internship program in Japan. They are Putu Ratih Widyaningrum, Ni Luh Ayu Nirmala Santi, Ni Nyoman Yuli Sri Mayanti and Ida Ayu Ika Dewi. The four of them will receive job training related to the hospitality sector at the Vassel Hotel Okayama from 4 August 2019 to 1 February 2020. (hms)
