Singaraja– Dozens of students at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) have completed their PKL and PPL programs abroad. Likewise, dozens of students from abroad took part in the same program at Undiksha in collaboration with a number of parties. Through this program, it is hoped that there will be an increase in self-quality so that it will be more competitive. “We want this program to improve the student experience. Especially regarding overseas. It can be more competitive,” said the Head of the Undiksha Learning Development and Quality Assurance Institute, Prof. Dr. AAIN. Marhaeni, M.A. after a meeting in the Rectorate’s Ganesha III Room, Thursday (25/9/2019).
She explained, that this year Undiksha sent 97 students to take part in PKL and PPL abroad, targeting a number of universities in Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. On the other hand, there are also 46 students in the same program. “In the current meeting for the departure period July – September. From Undiksha there are 36 students who have completed the program, and from abroad 16 people,” she explained.
Programs that also support internationalization at home, Undiksha also collaborates with Bank BRI Singaraja Branch, Suzuki Singaraja, Hotel Puri Bagus, and Undiksha Laboratory Kindergarten, Middle School, and High School. This is also highly appreciated and it is hoped that both will provide benefits. “Hopefully this program will have a positive impact on the parties invited to cooperate,” she added.
One of the participants, Made Septi Dwi Indrayani, appreciated this program. Through that, he and other students have the space to add experience which is considered very important for the future. “We are very happy to be part of this program. Can provide additional insight, “she said.
Since rolling in 2017, applicants for the program have continued to increase and not only come from the English Language Education Study Program. Especially for departures for the July-September 2019 period, more than 200 people were recorded. For this reason, Undiksha is trying to expand cooperation by targeting other universities, including outside ASEAN. (hms)
