Singaraja– Changes in standards in accreditation by BAN-PT require that every tertiary institution must work hard. From the 7 criteria that have now changed to 9 criteria, the tasks of each study program and university are increasing. To address this, Undiksha held Technical Guidance for the Preparation of Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) documents and 9 criteria accreditation documents, Monday – Wednesday (20/1/2020 – 22/1/2020).
Deputy Chancellor I Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI. who opened this event really hoped that the presence of the deans and study program coordinators would equate the perceptions of the entire academic community regarding the 9 criteria for accreditation documents. This Bimtek activity presented speakers, one of the lecturers from Satya Wacana Christian University, Dr. Sri Yulianto Joko Prasetyo., S.Si., M.Kom. who has experience with accreditation documents 9 criteria.
In his remarks, Rasben Dantes who is also a lecturer in Informatics Management revealed that in 2020 there are several study programs that will prepare accreditation documents. “In 2020, only one study program has prepared 9 criteria, namely D3 chemical analyst, and several study programs will soon be drafted, such as Japanese Language Education, Biology Education, Maritime Cultivation, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering Education, Computer Science, Sports Coaching Education, as well as two Postgraduate Programs in Educational Administration and Language Education,” he explained.
This activity is expected to take place and be well attended by participants and later can become a companion in preparing accreditation documents. “I hope that some things that are still confusing or have different perceptions about documents will be discussed in this activity,” he said.
Delivered further, in 2020, the Chancellor of Undiksha has plans to carry out international accreditation for prospective study programs. “We know that the preparation of the 9 criteria is very different, but this does not dampen our enthusiasm because I believe that all of them are fully committed to improving our accreditation status,” he said.
Joko Prasetyo reminded all participants that there were two important things to remember in preparing the 9 criteria accreditation document, namely SPMI and Higher Education Strategic Plan (strategic plan). “All necessary operational documents and data must be prepared in a structured manner,” he said when he started presenting the material.
