Singaraja- Chemistry study program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) and Sociology Education Study Program, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS), Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) accreditation, Friday (26/7/2019). The two study programs are expected to excel. This was conveyed by Vice Chancellor I Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., after receiving the Assessor Team from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).
The informatics academic revealed that the accreditation of study programs continues to be boosted and was announced by the chancellor in 2016. “At FHIS, most of the study programs have excellent accreditation. We hope that the Sociology Education Study Program can follow along. Can excel. It’s the same for pure chemistry,” he said.
Delivered further, accreditation is the responsibility of the institution to the community. Because after graduating from education, they will enter the world of work. In supporting its competitiveness, study program accreditation is very necessary. “Usually accreditation status is a requirement. Minimum accreditation B. My expectations are quite high in these two study programs. Hopefully, it can happen, even though it is entered as a new study program, but with the Human Resources it has, the number of enthusiasts tends to increase, hopefully, this study program can excel,” he said.
So far, out of 62 study programs at Undiksha, eight have been accredited A, spread across a number of faculties. Others are also being encouraged to follow, including in pursuing international accreditation. “Accreditation continues to be encouraged. For universities, it’s already A. There should be more study programs like that,” he added. (hms)
