Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) continues to improve study program accreditation. This improvement was welcomed, one of which was by the Bachelor of Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics. This study program received a field assessment from Lembaga Akreditasi Mandiri Ekonomi Manajemen Bisnis dan Akuntansi(LAMEMBA) directly on 21 and 22 December 2022.
The assessment implementation was centered in Room C1 of the Faculty of Economics. It was attended by the Faculty of Economics Leaders, the Department Head, the Study Program Coordinators, and related faculty staff. This assessment was opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He, who represented the Rector, conveyed to the Assessor that Undiksha currently has 25 accredited A and Leading study programs out of 79 existing study programs from the Diploma III to the Doctoral level. In order to increase the competitiveness of study programs and universities, increasing Accreditation is a serious concern. “We hope that the number of excellent accredited study programs will continue to increase. Hopefully the S1 Accounting Study Program can achieve that. Likewise for other products. We keep pushing,” he said.
According to him, Accreditation also encourages the quality improvement of study programs and quality related to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service.
Delivered further, Undiksha has taken various strategic steps to increase study program accreditation, starting by strengthening the capacity of Human Resources, improving infrastructure, and strengthening the Tri Dharma of Higher Education implementation. In addition to national Accreditation, this university in North Bali has also proposed 21 study programs for international Accreditation. Of these, there is a study program for the management accounting cluster.
In this field assessment, there were two assessors, namely Dr. Christina Juliana, CPMA., and Dr. Rida Perwita Sari S, S.E., M.Aks., Ak., CA., C.P.A. Christina Juliana said that field assessment is a common practice in Accreditation to take real photos of documents previously sent by the study program.
