Gianyar- The achievements made by the students of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) in 2021 have become the pride of the leaders and the academic community. This is not only because the numbers are increasing compared to before, but also achieved during the pandemic. Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., hopes that this achievement can be maintained and improved in 2022 and beyond. In addition, they are also more active at the international level. This was conveyed when opening the 2023 Student Affairs and Public Relations Program Development Coordination Pre-Meeting in Ubud, Gianyar Regency, Saturday (6/11/2021).
Achievement, said Rector Jampel, was very important to accelerate the realization of Undiksha’s vision, to become a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. Apart from that, it was also to make Undiksha a trendsetter university and International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL). Therefore, he invited the academic community, including students, to always try hard to achieve achievements.
“Let’s try hard with a lively, thorough, and characterful heart so that we can lead Undiksha to excel at the international level faster,” he said.
On that occasion, he also gave appreciation for the enthusiasm of Undiksha students and lecturers to excel. It is hoped that this will continue to be maintained in the future, bearing in mind that there are many competitions that can be followed. At the national level, there are Student Creativity Programs (PKM), start-ups, entrepreneurship, Gemastik, village empowerment programs, and so on. At the international level, there are various competitions for innovation. “We can see that the enthusiasm of the staff and students to take part in the activity is very high. This needs to be maintained,” he added.
Meanwhile, Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., said that in order to improve achievement, Undiksha continues to take strategic steps, such as preparing a companion team for coaching students according to interests and talents, increasing student insight through seminars or the like by presenting competent speakers in their fields. In another step, Undiksha also mapped student interests to facilitate coaching and gave awards to outstanding students and lecturers. “With activities like that, what the Chancellor hopes for can be achieved faster than the target,” he explained.
He added, in order to maintain sustainable achievements, Undiksha also regenerates. The team formed consists of members with different semester levels. “This has been conveyed to the companion and Deputy Dean III,” he added.
The pre-rakorbang activity also included a presentation on financial policy presented by Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Administration, Finance, and Human Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd, material on converting student achievement into Semester Credit Units (SKS) by Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., material on start-up and entrepreneurship presented by professional speakers, Dr. Wisnu Sakti Dewobroto.
Apart from that, there is also a description of Undiksha’s achievements in 2021 and the preparation of a calendar of activities and competitions by the Head of the Undiksha Simkatmawa Team, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, M.Pd. This activity was not only attended by the Deputy Deans III of Undiksha but also the heads of student organizations. (hms)
