Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) received another sweet gift. The Diploma III Midwifery Study Program, which has only been “maintained” since December 2017, has succeeded in moving up the “caste”, from accreditation C to B. This is shown by the Decree of the Management of the Association of Independent Accreditation Institutions for Higher Education in Indonesia (Association LAM-PTKes) number: 0022/ LAM-PTKes/Akr/Dip/I/2019 with a score of 318.
Study Program Coordinator, Luh Nik Armini, S.ST., M.Keb., feels grateful for this achievement. Because it will be able to increase the grade of the study program in society. “We are of course very grateful to be able to get B accreditation. Hopefully, with this, the level of confidence of the younger generation in studying here will increase. Likewise with the absorption of graduates in the world of work,” he said. It was further stated that this gift achieved with hard work is a whiplash to continue to improve quality. Including in realizing the Bachelor of Midwifery and professional study programs. “We really planned this study program. “We continue to strive to improve the quality in all areas,” she said.
As stated previously, the visitation of the study program under the Faculty of Sports and Health from LAM-PTKes took place from 3 to 5 January 2019. It only took one month, and the grades had already dropped. Welcoming this, thorough preparations were made, starting from infrastructure to Human Resources (HR). Regarding accreditation, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd often conveys this as a serious concern. This was demonstrated by the launch in 2016. “We continue to encourage accreditation. “At Undiksha, only new study programs are still C,” she said.
Apart from study programs, the largest university in North Bali is also pursuing accreditation for the institution. Various strategies have been carried out to make this happen, starting from improving infrastructure and improving the quality of human resources to research. This step is a strategy to increase competitiveness, including realizing the university’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia by 2045. (hms)
