Singaraja- Faculty of Language and Arts Undiksha once again hosted an art exhibition at its Art Gallery. This exhibition themed “First Action” involved active students, alumni, active lecturers, retired lecturers and RPL program students. The theme “First Action” was selected to symbolize the beginning of renewed efforts to organize and present a diverse range of artistic activities at the Paduraksa FBS Undiksha Gallery, aiming to revive its energy and reaffirm its importance in fulfilling its mission.
This exhibition was officially opened by the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd on Monday, August 12, 2024. He was accompanied by the Vice Rectors and Leaders of Faculty and Postgraduate Program, who all welcomed the event with enthusiasm, and strong support. The value of the theme applied implied an impression of meaning. The theme is seen as the starting point for a series of planned activities aimed at achieving significant goals in the field of visual arts, both in education and creative art production, all underpinned by a spirit of entrepreneurship.
Prof. Lasmawan expressed his sincere appreciation to the active and retired Art lecturers, alumni, and students for their dedication and loyalty to their alma mater. He specifically praised the students for their remarkable display of artistic talent and potential. Prof. Lasmawan expressed his strong belief that the beginning steps will lead to continuous progress, and the entire academic civitas of the Arts Study Program and its extensive networks in the arts will always synergize to uphold new values of new patriotism for the advancement of Indonesia.
